The 60th Ninad Mahotsav was inaugurated with the vocal waves of Brajeshwar Mukherjee and the tinkling of the anklets of Anuj Neha.

Keshav Talegaonkar A grand two-day 60th Ninad Mahotsav Music Maharishi Pt. Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Music Conference was organized on 14th and 15th December 2024 at J.P. Auditorium Khandari Agra.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Ashu Rani Ji, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University Agra and the officials of the organization by lighting the lamp in front of Maa Saraswati and music by Maharishi Pt. Vishnu Digambar Ji, This was done by garlanding the pictures of Pt. Raghunath Talegaonkar, Mrs. Sulabha Talegaonkar, music star Pt. Keshav Talegaonkar and Rani Saroj Gaurihar.
Prof. Ashu Rani ji appreciated the work being done by the organization. On this occasion, the trust officials honored the Vice Chancellor with the honor of Rani Saroj Gaurihar Smriti ‘Art Protector’ for art preservation by presenting him a shawl, honor letter, memento, souvenir.
Today’s Sabras music evening was dedicated to the founder Mrs. Sulabha Talegaonkar. The program was inaugurated with the song ‘Shakti Bhakti Yukti De Mata Saraswati’ composed by Pt. Raghunath Talegaonkar ji, Vishnu Stavana ‘Vishnu Digambar Bhoolok Gandharva Timir Har Sama Gaan Deepak The musical atmosphere for the Ninad Mahotsav was started by the music practitioners of Sangeet Kala Kendra, Agra by giving a melodious presentation of the song titled ‘Ninad’, ‘Surmayi Ninad Aaya’, composed by ‘Prajjwalit Kar’ and Guru Maa Mrs. Pratibha Keshav Talegaonkar ji. Thereafter, on the occasion of the birth centenary year of Pt Raghunath Talegaonkar ji, audio visual of his musical journey was presented.
The main presentation of the programme was the classical singing of Shri Brajeshwar Mukherjee, the able disciple of Padma Bhushan Shri Ajay Chakraborty. In your singing, “Jag Mein Kachhu Kaam” composed by Pt. Gyan Prakash Ghosh in Vilambit Ektaal in Raga Yaman, “Chandrama Lalat Par” composed by Pt. Arun Bhaduri in Madhyalay Jhaptal, “Main wari wari jaungi” in Madhyalay Teentaal, the traditional clear expansion and preparation of the taans were clearly visible.
Mr Mukherjee followed the singing style of the Patiala Gharana. He concluded his performance with the popular thumri “Yaad Piya Ki Aaye” composed by Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Saheb. Pt. Ravindra Talegaonkar on Samvadini and Shri Mahmood Khan on Tabla gave their excellent accompaniment and took the programme to the heights of success. On this occasion, Shri Mukherjee was honoured with the honorary award of Pt. Keshav Raghunath Talegaonkar Smriti ‘Sangit Nakshatra’.
The next presentation of the programme was a duet Kathak dance by Mr. Anuj Mishra, a capable disciple of Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji, a capable disciple of Pt. Arjun Mishra Ji and son and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Neha Singh Mishra. First of all you sang “Shiv Shakti Stuti” and then you won the applause of the audience by presenting a beautiful presentation of Thaat, Aamad, Tukda, Toda, Paran, Gat Bhaav, Tihaaiyan in the traditional Kathak dance style of Lucknow Gharana in the rhythm Teentaal. Pandit Vivek Mishra on tabla and padhant, Pandit Ravindra Talegaonkar on samvadin and Shri Arvind Masih on sitar gave a wonderful accompaniment and took the programme to its climax.
On this occasion, Mr. Anuj Mishra was honoured with “Sangeet Kala Gaurav”, Mrs. Neha Singh Mishra was honoured with Mrs. Sulabha Talegaonkar Smriti Sangeet Sevak Samman for her special service to music, Mr. Vivek Mishra and Mr. Arvind Masih were honoured with the title of “Sangeet Sahodar”.
Tomorrow on Sunday, Naad Sadhna- morning music session will be dedicated to music critic Dr. Mukesh Garg. The chief guest of this session will be Baba Pritam Singh Ji- President Guru Ka Taal Gurdwara. On the occasion of Pandit Raghunath Talegaonkar’s centenary, Dr. Uma Vijay and her disciples will present Panditji’s composition “Adi Bhairav and his types”. Maharshi Baba Pagal Das Ji’s prominent disciple Dr. Santosh Namdev Haridwar and Prof. (Pt.) Debashish Chakraborty and Shri Devaditya Chakraborty will present a guitar-sitar duet and tabla accompaniment will be by Dr. Hariom Hari Khairagarh. The closing ceremony will be dedicated to Guru M.L. Kausar Ji.
The main artists of this gathering will be classical singing by Prof. Jayant Khot and flute playing by internationally renowned flute player Pt. Ajay Shankar Prasanna. The chief guest will be Dr. Radheshyam Pareek.
