The auditorium reverberated with the sounds of pakhavaj, singing and sitar-guitar duet at the 60th Ninad Mahotsav.

On the second day of Ninad Mahotsav, the morning session was dedicated to Shri Mukesh Garg. At the beginning of the program, the students of Sangeet Kala Kendra Agra performed Saraswati Vandana in Raga Basant Mukhari and Naad Vandana in Taal Char Taal in Raga Ahir Bhairav.

On the occasion of Pandit Raghunath Talegaonkar’s birth centenary year, Adi Bhairav ​​and its variants are composed by Pandit ji – Raga Bhairav, Bengal Bhairav, Shivamat Bhairav, Nat Bhairav, Bairagi Bhairav, Dr. Uma Vijay and her disciples from Jaipur – Anshul Nagpal, Kavita Arya, Mantra Kantiwal and Sanket Gupta – gave a beautiful presentation of the compositions in Ahir Bhairav. You were accompanied by Shri Hemendra Gupta on harmonium and Dr. Lokendra Talegaonkar on tabla.

In the second phase of the program, Dr. Santosh Namdev, the chief disciple of Maharishi Pagal Das Ji, presented Pakhawaj playing. He presented Pakhawaj playing traditionally in four taals. You delighted the audience by presenting Kamali in four taals, four Dha and five Dha. In the end, you presented Shiv Paran and Durga Paran. Mrs. Usha Namdev and Pandit Ravindra Talegaonkar accompanied you on Samvadin.

As the final presentation of the programme, representative artists of Senia-Maihar Gharana, Prof (Pt) Devashish Chakraborty and Devaditya Chakraborty presented a guitar and sitar jugalbandi. After alaap, jod, jhala of the avtarana of raga Shuddha Sarang, they presented a composition of vilambit teental and madhyalay teental.

The clarity of notes and preparation of taans was clearly visible in your playing. You concluded the program by presenting a tune in Raag Zila Kaafi. You were accompanied by wonderful tabla accompaniment by Dr. Hariom Hari (Khairgarh), the chief disciple of Padma Bhushan Pt. Kishan Maharaj ji, and took the programme to musical heights. On this occasion, Dr. Santosh Namdev was given the honorary award of Pandit Raghunath Talegaonkar Smriti “Adarsh ​​Sangeet Prasarak” and Prof. Devashish Chakraborty was given the honorary award of Shri Purushottam Bal Krishna Srivastava Smriti “Music Art Enhancer”.
