Spectators lost in the performance of Shringari dance group artists full appreciation with thunderous sound

Lucknow. On the occasion of Vijayadashami under Ramotsav, the students of Shringari dance group presented the goddess praise ‘Shakti Swarupa Jai-Jai-Jai Jag Janani’ and Raghuvaram on the stage of Shri Ram Leela Samiti, Aishbagh, and the present crowd appreciated it with Kartal sound.

Both the presentations were special. Presentation of classical music on a folk art stage like Ramlila holds special importance, especially when the creator of this dance is the internationally renowned dancer Ms. Meera Dixit and the direction is also her own.

Meera Dixit has retired from the post of lecturer in Bhatkhande Music University. She is dedicating her entire life to Kathak. The dance group coordinator was Tanushree, a senior disciple of Mira Dixit and the co-coordinator was Arindam Singh. Both the presentations were highly appreciated.

It is noteworthy that every year the Shrangari dance group presents in Shri Ram Leela Samiti Aishbagh. Ramlila Committee also provides opportunities to newcomers. Presentation of classical music on folk stage is truly an innovative experiment.
